Subluxation.

It's a very Chiropractic term. And while most texts will talk about a 'subluxation' being a "partial dislocation of a bone", in Chiropractic, a subluxation means so much more.

So let's dissect the word...

Subluxation (noun)

Sub: under, beneath, below, less than

Lux: a unit of illumination (light)

-ation: action or process

So in this way, a subluxation is the action or process of having less than normal or perfect light.

Hence why the name of my business, Lumos is the light spell from Harry Potter, you say "Lumos" as a synonym of "let there be light".
